Christina Fitzgerald
Conference Co-Chair, R3 Vice President and Partner, Edwin Coe LLP
Christina joined Edwin Coe’s top ranked Restructuring & Insolvency team in February 2021 and deals with all aspects of contentious and non-contentious corporate and personal insolvency.
She is a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner and advises insolvency practitioners, accountants, banks, asset based lenders and other commercial organisations. Christina has particular expertise in advising troubled professional practices and distressed charities, not for profit organisations and corporate simplification. She also acts for clients in a wide variety of disputes including corporate, shareholder and partnership litigation, complex contractual disputes and professional negligence.
Christina is the current Vice President of R3 (the trade association for the UK’s insolvency and restructuring professionals), becoming President in April 2021, and also a member of INSOL Europe.

Charles Turner
Partner, Begbies Traynor
Charles is an experienced restructuring and insolvency specialist, typically working with owner managed businesses and individuals, helping to manage financial stress. He has been a licensed appointment taker for over 20 years.
He acts as an IP adviser for R3, helping to develop policy and best practice with HMRC as well as contributing to consultation responses on recent legislation, including the 2020 pandemic inspired changes.
He is a specialist in legal practices, the Charity and not for profit sector and the Education sector. He leads for his firm on the Charity Commission Interim Manager panel and for Department for Education (DfE).
He is a former member of R3’s New Professionals’ Committee for the London & South East Region, and also sat on the R3 Annual Conference Organising Committee for the 2021 Conference.

Hemal Mistry
Director at Horsfields Financial Consultants and Insolvency Practitioners
Hemal is a member of the Insolvency Practitioners Association (IPA), Association of Business Recovery Professionals (R3) and also sits on the IPA Examination and Training Committee.
Hemal has experience dealing with corporate and personal insolvency cases and over the years has been involved in a number of complex corporate insolvencies. His past experiences in the manufacturing and commercial sector has also seen him involved in many business restructuring roles.

David regularly acts for office-holders in both personal and corporate insolvencies in relation to all aspects of their appointment. He also advises directors on their duties, as well as when claims are brought against them by office-holders, and on disqualification applications. He also advises debtors and creditors in order to ensure their rights are protected throughout the insolvency process.
David frequently speaks about and delivers training on insolvency-related matters, and has chaired a number of courses for R3.
He sits on R3’s New Professionals’ Committee for the London & South East Region, and also sat on the R3 Annual Conference Organising Committee for the 2021 Conference.

Kristy Low
Associate Director, RSM Restructuring Advisory LLP
Works within RSM’s Restructuring Advisory team covering both formal insolvency and business reviews during planned restructures and turnaround scenarios including evaluation of funding requirements, cash flow forecasts, and cost saving measures, recently working with a number of retail groups.
RSM works with company directors, financial institutions, turnaround professionals and venture capitalists to provide practical corporate restructuring advice that is designed for your specific business needs. RSM is also experienced in handling personal and corporate insolvency cases, and have a proven track record in working with banks and financial institutions to maximise recoveries.

Charlotte specialises in domestic and cross-border insolvency and restructuring, banking and financial services, commercial litigation and company law.
She has appeared in high profile cases at all levels, including three times as a junior in the Supreme Court (most recently in Lehman Brothers Waterfall I) and twice as sole counsel in the Court of Appeal.
She also has significant experience of a wide range of applications under the Insolvency Act and Rules, regularly appearing in County Courts and the High Court in respect of such applications, as well as undertaking advisory and drafting work.
In the restructuring context, Charlotte has advised in relation to proposals for, and challenges to, IVAs and CVAs and has appeared in hearings to convene/sanction a number of schemes of arrangement and restructuring plans, including DeepOcean, the first restructuring plan to use the new cross-class cram down mechanism.

Luke Harrison

Luke co-founded Keidan Harrison LLP in May 2020, having formerly led a substantial team at a mid-sized firm. He is recognised by the leading legal directories as a “very commercial litigator with a real eye for detail” and “especially adept at insolvency-related commercial disputes” (Chambers 2019).
Luke’s practice covers a broad spectrum of commercial disputes, but he has particular expertise in contentious insolvency and restructuring advisory, fraud and asset recovery, banking and financial services, company and partnership, professional negligence claims and technology disputes. Luke has acted for large corporates as well as for small- to medium-sized enterprises and office holders (directors, trustees and insolvency practitioners). He works across all sectors, but has particular experience in recruitment, litigation funding, alternative lending, technology, construction and private equity.
Luke is a Solicitor Advocate having gained his Higher Rights of Audience. He has extensive litigation and arbitration experience both as an instructing solicitor and as an advocate. He also regularly represents clients in other forms of dispute resolution, including mediations, and develops bespoke dispute resolution mechanisms for clients. Luke is known for his innovative approach to value engineering dispute resolution and his outcomes focus.
Luke is a past Chairman of the Commercial Litigation Association. He was a winner of the M&A Adviser, Emerging Leader Awards 2017, and in 2019 was named as a member of the prestigious TRI 250, an exclusive group of professionals across the Turnaround, Restructuring and Insolvency profession.

Claire Howell
Insolvency Partner at ANTONY BATTY & COMPANY LLP
Claire initially started working for Antony Batty & Company LLP in 2009, following a career as a serving Police Officer for the Metropolitan Police. After an enjoyable 7 years with ABc, which saw her progress from junior administrator to senior administrator, she moved on to HW Fisher, a mid-tier firm, as an assistant manager, running a team which worked across all insolvency sectors. She successfully passed the JIEB exams in 2019 on her first sitting.
In late 2019 she accepted a role as a senior manager at Hudson Weir, where she continued to run her own team and work on a wide variety of cases from Members Voluntary Liquidations and Creditors Voluntary Liquidations to trading Administrations, including the long-standing Aquascutum brand.
In June 2021, bringing a wealth of experience as well as her personable nature, Claire returned to Antony Batty & Company as a fully licensed, appointment taking partner.
Outside of work Claire is a busy mother to a son and owner of a re-homed Guide Dog, both of whom keep her on her toes.

Meghan Andrews

Meghan is a Partner in the Restructuring & Insolvency team in London and is a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner.
Meghan joined the Egham office of Wilkins Kennedy in 2008. After qualifying in 2013 Meghan moved to the London office.
Meghan is experienced in dealing with both corporate and personal insolvencies and works across a variety of business sectors and industries. Meghan’s specialises in providing advice, assistance and support to individuals, directors, creditors, shareholders and other stakeholders throughout the insolvency process.
Meghan is a Partner in the Restructuring & Insolvency team in London and is a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner.
