Resilience becomes growth: How the economy is shaping up
Economies have been resilient to the sharp rise in interest rates so far. And falling inflation looks set to pave the way for central banks to begin cutting rates at some point this year. But can we be sure of the soft landing many forecasters are anticipating? How are households and businesses coping with higher rates? And how does that shape the outlook for insolvencies? Meanwhile the US has not just been resilient but has enjoyed robust growth. Is that expected to change in the run-up to its election? And how does this all impact the pace of the energy transition? We’ll look to answer these questions and more.
