The golf on Wednesday morning will be played at the Kittocks Course, at the Fairmont. Registering for the golf as well as a light breakfast will be provided from 8.30am. There will be a shot gun start at 9.30am so golfers will need to be at the clubhouse for 9am. There is no dress code for the golf or clubhouse and the Fairmont advises the course will take around 4 and a half hours. Please note this means you cannot play golf and attend the distillery tour. However you will be finished in time to take part in the highland games.

The whisky and chocolate tasting and tour will take place at Kingsbarns distillery but transfers will be provided from the Fairmont Hotel. This activity will provide a tour of the distillery followed by a whisky and chocolate tasting. The tour and tasting will take around 90 mins. There’s no dress code for this activity.
Please note attendees cannot play golf and do the tour.

Wednesday – For all activities during the day on Wednesday attendees are advised to wear clothes that are comfortable. The Highland Games will take place outside on grass and so suitable comfortable clothes and footwear are advised. For those attendees who are booked to play golf there is no specific attire required by the venue.

For the Wednesday evening reception and dinner the dress code is smart casual as this is an informal dinner welcoming all attendees and will allow for plenty of networking.

Thursday – For the conference sessions the dress code is business casual, so there is no need to wear a tie for example. All sessions take place within the conference area of the hotel.

Thursday gala dinner – The dinner itself is smart, although not black tie. We would like all attendees to wear a splash of tartan for the gala dinner. For those of you with a kilt please feel free to wear but for those who don’t a tie, sash, even tartan pair of socks will suffice. The R3 team are donning tartan pocket squares, hair bows and brooches and see example pictures below of Tim Cooper with the full kilt option plus the smart option with a tartan tie. We’d like as many people as possible to celebrate being in the beautiful Scotland. After the dinner there is a ceilidh so make sure to wear shoes that are comfortable to dance in!
