Alex Fox is a partner in Penningtons’ Restructuring & Insolvency team and heads up the Business and Finance team within the firm’s commercial dispute resolution group.

He advises clients on a wide variety of substantial commercial disputes including those which give rise to IP & public law issues. He regularly acts on cases including complex IT/procurement matters, financial services disputes, all aspects of insolvency, professional negligence and substantial national, international and cross-border issues.

As well as being a media commentator on news channels such as BBC News and the Today Programme, Alex co-authored a leading text book on corporate restructuring (published by the Law Society of England and Wales). He is the Insolvency Commission President Emeritus (AIJA), has spoken and contributed to the ABA International Section (ABA-SIL), and lectures on both the domestic and international circuit (including at various R3 events).
