Richard Obank is a partner at BCLP and team leader of the Restructuring & Insolvency (‘R&I’) group based in their London office. Richard has over 35 years of experience acting for corporates, financial institutions, private equity investors, credit funds and other stakeholders in R&I situations. He has broad transactional sector experience and regularly acts for boards of directors wherever corporates experience financial distress and advises on M&A mandates, debt and equity reorganisations, refinancings and rescue funding arrangements. He has extensive experience advising on CVAs and schemes of arrangement. Richard has ‘hands on’ experience acting as a board director and charity trustee and in that capacity has overseen a successful operational turnaround and debt restructuring. Richard regularly advises insolvency office-holders and holds an insolvency licence (non-appointment taking).
