Russ is a partner in Grant Thornton’s insolvency and asset recovery team. He is a chartered accountant and licensed insolvency practitioner with over 20 years’ experience, and his work focuses on complex insolvencies, fraud investigations, pursuing legal claims, asset tracing, and enforcement of judgment awards, in the UK and internationally.

Russ has extensive investigation experience in both using insolvency powers to obtain information and records from third parties, and in bringing litigation to seek recovery of funds for creditors through a wide range of claims including breach of duty, dishonesty, fraud and other insolvency specific actions. He is liquidator of Bilta (UK) Ltd which succeeded before the Supreme Court with arguments in relation to fraudulent trading under the Insolvency Act 1986 extending to those outside the management/control of a company.
